Ring in Spring

As we march into wedding season this month, I'm excited for the upcoming events and weddings we have!!  I'm also excited for the spring season since this is my favorite time of year with all of the lovely blooms that are available.  So, to kick it off, I want to share with you Susan and Sean's wedding at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion at LA's Music Center. The icing on the cake was that their wedding was featured on Project Wedding.  Check out the full post there!

The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion is such a elegant and beautiful venue.  Just look at that gorgeous chandelier... it's breathtaking!!  These ah mazing images were taken by the very talented Amelia Lyon. Thanks Amelia and it was so great to work with you!!! :)

The lovely bride carried fragrant garden roses accented with a pewter band wrapped bouquet with a subtle touch of twine accent to match the groom's boutonnière with the garden rose and spray rose accent.

The hip and stylish wedding party.  The ladies wore a pewter dress and toted coral/peachy bouquets with ivory cream florals which included the "Juliet" garden roses and cream garden roses with spray roses.

These graphic invitations were designed by the groom.  How cool is that?!  Loving it...  If I wasn't doing floral design I think I would love to learn graphic design and squeeze in a little photography as well!

The happy couple. :)  I was excited to work with Nancy at So Happi Together to put their vision to life.  Their design was whites and creams and to add touches of coral/peach accents throughout the ceremony florals.  We flanked Susan and Sean with two columns wrapped in white taffeta and topped it with round florals pieces on top of white candlesticks.

These round florals consisted of white hydrangeas, "juliet" and white/cream garden roses, cream roses, white lisianthus, coral/peach spray roses and white phalaenopsis orchids.

For the reception, we wanted to keep it elegant and used just cream and white florals.  We filled a set of three cylinder glass vases with one type of florals, which was composed of white calla lilies, white hydrangeas and white phalaenopsis orchids.

The other round tables were fashioned with cool pewter vases filled with the mixture of cream and white florals along with the rectangular tables with one long arrangement with two side components.  The room just looked stunning!!

I think it looks so cool with this aerial shot of the table... I would love to learn photography as a hobby!  Composition makes all the difference in images~ love it!! ;)

The sweetheart table looked so beautiful!!!  We were able to incorporate the ceremony florals to flank the sweetheart table as well as the dessert table...it was a perfect marriage.  I used different sized pieces in pewter vessels to create height and asymmetry. I just love how everything came together!

The desserts and cake were designed by My Sweet and Saucy.  Looks yummy and tastes yummy!!  If you need desserts for your next occasion, give them a ring.  Their designs are truly amazing. :)  I am in LOVE with this ombre cake!

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did in designing, preparing and installing this wedding.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and Happy Easter as we spring into the new season.  Until next time...

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Valentine's Day!!  May it be filled with lots of love and laughter whether it's with your spouse, loved ones or friends. ;)  This Valentine's I will be busy prepping florals for my brother's reception this weekend.  I hope to share images with you later...

With love filling the air this month, here is a bouquet I created, "composed" of piano garden roses, lisianthus, blue muscari, spray roses, tulips, and plum sweet peas.  Smells divine!
